Hello,

Hoping someone has knowledge around the area of ID

My MIL has Alzheimer's and has given up driving and her passport has run out

Is there another form of photo ID we can apply for ?

My searching has come up blank

Thank you

My daughter got a citizen card to vote it's photo id (she has no driving licence or passport)

What does she need ID for? Many places accept letters from people in positions of responsibility instead.

What does she need I'd for, has she got a bus pass.

DF’s parking blue badge was widely accepted as ID

She will need photo ID to vote. She can get an id card https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
That page lists loads of photo ID.

It says it’s for voting only and not for other purposes so may not be accepted by banks etc who usually have to work with a pretty strict list of acceptable id documents.

It was the link on that page to a long list of photo ID documents that I thought was useful

Hi, thanks all

She needs it for banking purposes / moving house and voting

It's something she's getting agitated over sadly

She doesn't qualify for a blue badge - and ironically you need ID to get a blue badge

I think I'll at least get voters ID sorted thank you

We just renewed the passport as it was the easiest option

get her a passport, and get LPAs in place asap!

Yep I would go with passport as its one that is gov issued with all the checking to prove being who she said she is done by the State.

Very frustrating, my 83 year old mother has never been abroad and has never learned to drive so has neither. Fortunately she has no intention of moving etc but the only photo ID she has is her bus pass
