My mum has Frontal lobe dementia age 66.
Would say she is at stage 6 of dementia.
Long story short in a care home full time for the last 4 years.
Recently having more falls with today resulting in a hip fracture needing surgery.
Anyone had experience of this and how long mortality after operation.
It's heartbreaking to see her like this.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Recovery rates are not the best. You have asked for mortality data and you can look this up easily. This paper is more helpful suggesting getting in a physio to get her moving as soon as possible. https://boneandjoint.org.uk/Article/10.1302/0301-620X.103B7.BJJ-2020-2349.R1

If it is a nail that is being done, pain relief is needed at high levels for a long while x

I'm so sorry that you're going through this @poppydog23. It must be devastating to see your DM like this at such a young age Flowers
