Hi,

my mum has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers Dementia and the consultant has said that a Dementia Navigator will be in-touch.

Has anyone experience of this service and any advice on what I should look out for?

I have googled it but for my trust there is not a lot of information

Thank you

I've not heard of one, sorry @FlatOutAgain. And sorry about your DMs diagnosis.

Have you found the Elderly Parents Section on MN yet? It's a bit busier than in here so it might be worth asking in that section Flowers

@PritiPatelsMaker thank you

They are support workers that help you work through alzheimers. They set up an initial visit and guide you from there. We are waiting for the first visit

There has been a lot of support and although we have had to make a lot of calls, emails etc. the services do exist.

thank you again
