Would Anti Psychotics Help DM’s Delusional Paranoia

DM has Alzheimer’s and has been becoming increasingly paranoid over the last few months. The paranoia has become worse this last week and she is now imagining that the neighbours are out to get her, today she refused to go outside at all. She is already on the highest dose of Donepezil and is also taking Sertraline. Would anti psychotic drugs be of any help?

My father was helped enormously by a very low dose of risperidone. He came back from being unmanageably delusional and paranoid, eg believing enemy soldiers were camped out in the back garden ready to storm the house, just about every object in the house had a hidden camera and needed to be destroyed, to being pretty much his old self very rapidly.

Obviously take the advice of the professionals, but I think it must be worth a try. The side effects and risks seemed to be very minimal.
