Dementia Poetry

Apologies in advance for the blatant self-promotion (am on here under a different user name but name changed as don't want to out myself).

I am a 32 caregiver to my elderly mother-in-law with Alzheimers, and not always a very patient one am afraid.

To keep myself sane and still smiling with MIL, I write poems on www.dementiapoetry.com.

I think your rhymes are great!

I've forwarded the link to my DM who is looking after my DF with dementia.

She used to write a lot of poetry, and I wonder if this might give her an idea to do something similar at home.

I take my hat off to all of you who care Full Time. I just have a day a week with my DF to give DM a break. DF and I have a lot of fun together, but its draining...
