The week before last was half term and they were off for a full week. This Wednesday just gone she had a sore throat (she was able to "bravely" sing a beautiful song about rainbows later though) and he all ready to go to KG threw his gloves and coat on the floor and refused to go without her. Yesterday his bum exploded all over our bed with diarrhoea. They've been off for three days now and I am going nuts! The house is a tip and I am being shouted at by everyone, including the wife about the mess.

Can anyone advise me? Please make me laugh as I am depressed.

lol!@poo exploding all over your bed (sorry!).

You know what the standard MN advice is, don't you? CBeebies on loop while you swig wine tidy up and get yourself sorted.

Hope they're better soon.

I am guilty of the Beebies dump! Then I get guilty because they aren't in violin lessons/creating paper crafts/undertaking creative play or whatever middle class bollocks kids are supposed to be pushed into these days.

As I write he's having a tanturm cos I've just taken off the side of his cot so he can sleep in his own bed more. He's virtually been sleeping next to me for ages and my wife had to go in the other bedroom. If I get to sleep next to my wife in the future it might be like having a new woman in the bed all over again! (though my daughter's physiotherapist does admittedly give me ungodly thoughts)

This all sounds pretty normal. Get used to it.
