Hi

First may I apologise for being here with two X chromosomes.

DH is car crazy, particularly high performance Italian supercars. Last year I bought him a Ferrari experience at Silverstone. Any suggestions as to what I might do this year?

I hope to organise the Nurburgring for his 40th but this year I need something much cheaper.

TIA

Does he drive a reasonably sporty car? You could do a track day where he takes his own car.

I was going to suggest the Ferrari experience but I see you're one step ahead of me there!

DH did a driving experience day thing, where he learned stunt driving type stuff, handbrake turns, etc etc.

There's a car rental place near us where you can rent really fancy cars (old, weird, racecar) for the weekend ...

Thanks, I might look into renting something for a track day.

There's also Mercedes Benz World
(depending on how near the Big Smoke you are)
www.mercedes-benz.co.uk/world
(n.b. not been, but driven past and on "to do" list!)
...having said that I'm sure he'd be very happy with a Ferrari to keep this time, if he enjoyed the experience last time!

p.s. Top wife you are!

That's not too far from us, thanks.

Thank you, I do try. I'm actually a bit of a petrolhead convert myself now.

Would he be interested in anything from the

Top Gear shop ?

Too late for RetroMobile Paris unless you go tomorrow or Sunday. How about a trip to Techno Classica at Essen during the first weekend in April. Unbelievably big classic car show with a huge Ferrari section.

Travel is out unfortunately as I am 9 weeks from giving birth to our second baby. Worth remembering for another time thoguh.

Get him a Lego car to build. Check out lego.com for current technics cars, or if he's age 30-40 go to ebay and search "lego technics 8860". It'll keep him quiet for hours. Alternatively get him a radio-controlled car.
