Waxing back

On the subject of unwanted hair. Men having their backs waxed a good or bad idea?

DW keeps saying I have no idea what she goes through when she has her legs waxed... How painful can it be?

try it and see for yourself.

Or get your nethers waxed.

I'll do it for you if you like.

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 04/02/2009 15:55

erm. That was not meant as pervy come-on.

hifi · 04/02/2009 16:05

a good idea, better than looking like a bear.try having a brazilian then you know what real pain is like.

GentleOtter · 04/02/2009 16:07

It is a good idea as a hairy back is not a great look.
Take two paracetamol half an hour before the waxing. It nips a little bit (on legs anyway- I've never had to get my back done ). Expect some redness for a couple of hours after the area has been waxed.

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 04/02/2009 16:07

And after that, we'll shove a melon up your arse so you can then experience childbirth

Countingthegreyhairs · 04/02/2009 16:08

Oh no ... I love a hairy man ...

GentleOtter · 04/02/2009 16:09

LOL Hecate!

CaptainPants · 04/02/2009 17:15

I shall give it some serious thought.

Is there any preparation required other than the paracetamol? Would I need to chat to anyone about holidays or celeb trivia?

Not too keen on melons so will give that one a miss.

No. Paracetamol is just fine. . Maybe a whiff of Entinox if you can get it.
You can chat about your holidays and celebs too if you like but perhaps steer clear of things like politics, that sort of stuff.
Oh and don't watch the 40 Year Old Virgin before going...

Fizzylemonade · 11/02/2009 21:39

My Dh is a bit hairy and he had his back waxed, I didn't like it, didn't feel like him when we were... well you know what I am talking about, and no it wasn't exciting it was downright weird.

He is hard, proper hard so it didn't hurt.

CaptainPants · 12/02/2009 11:05

There is no point just talking about it is there?

I had my back done yesterday. Not painful and I'm a wimp.

The stuff she put on after was a bit sticky which was not great when I had to go and sit in an office chair for the afternoon. I had it done at lunchtime.

No real chat while it was done, which was good. Could have done with some car magazines in reception though.

DW says she likes it so maybe have it done again.
