come on boys, some of you must moisturise!!

DH's skin has become really dry through work so he used mine this morning then complained it smelt too "flowery"!

Please will someone recommend a macho moisturiser!!

My DH has more beauty products than me (by a long shot). He got very excited when I read out your post...he is inundating me with information!!!

He says, try Mankind.co.uk, and he personally recommends Korres products (as used by David Beckham apparently).

Hope this helps!

Liz Earle does stuff for men.

JackieNo · 29/07/2008 22:10

Liz Earle for men - DH likes the shaving cream, and has used the moisturiser, though doesn't use it regularly. You can buy tester sets and small tubes to try it.

ooh thank you both!!

PPP i have a friend who's DH is like yours he spends half an hour every morning straightening his hair...i don't spend that long on mine!!

DH buys some Nivea that comes in a tube (not handcream). It costs less than £3 and is not noticebly scented.

MrsTicklemouse · 29/07/2008 22:31

i'm looking at mankind...i can't believe there are that many products for men!!!

My DH loves origins mega mushroom - he thinks it smells devine and keeps his skin soft too.

cornflakegirl · 29/07/2008 23:24

Cosmetic Lad from Lush (DH and I both use it).

jessiesmummy · 29/07/2008 23:35

Avon do a fantastic range of mens products including two different moisturisers and an eye cream!
Cosmetis lad is also very good but not great on sensitive skin.

Winetimeisfinetime · 30/07/2008 00:04

My dh swears by L'Occitane shea butter - it comes in a tin similar to a shoe polish tin and has no fragrance at all. Great for sensitive skin.

brimfull · 30/07/2008 00:40

my dh uses Simple one

preggersplayspop · 30/07/2008 12:44

Luckily DH doesn't have much hair, or else the bathroom would be even more full of his products!!

DH uses this by Molton Brown. It supposedly works as both moisturiser and after shave balm.

maidamess · 30/07/2008 12:48

My husband (aka The Ponce) wears Philosophy 'make up optional' (tee Hee) moisturiser. In the white tub with the black lid.

Vasoline.

prettybird · 30/07/2008 13:04

My dh uses the Clinique M lotion: I getit for him for Christmas/birhdays whenever there is an offer on. he also like the Shaving Creme and the Shaving Gel (depending on the time of year).

babyOcho · 30/07/2008 13:09

DP uses Dermalogica stuff. He uses ultracalming cleanser, then skin smoothing cream. He used to got for a monthly facial pre-DD (no time now).

Because Dermalogica is about 'science' he thinks that its OK... although he does tell people that he is seeing the skin consultant rather than going for a facial!

kslatts · 30/07/2008 13:41

DH uses Nivea for men in a blue tub, I bought it for him when he kept using mine.

DaDaDa · 30/07/2008 14:27

If it's just for after shaving the Nivea for Men stuff is fine

I also have some REN balm. Present. Honest.

OsmosisBanana · 30/07/2008 14:40

DH uses Clarins as it's the same brand I use. It does smell but not girly and not particularly strong.

He has mega dry skin as doesn't produce own oils (freak) and excema and is very fussy in general but seems happy with it. And the face canyons are somewhat improved. Which is a bonus!

elmoandella · 30/07/2008 14:57

dp like clinique for men range. soaks up really quick. doesn't leave any oily residue at all.

smells clean. not musky, manly or flowery.

just clean.

Flier · 30/07/2008 14:59

dh uses nivea for men

MrsTicklemouse · 30/07/2008 17:07

thank you all so much for your suggestions

i think DH is converting he was on the mankind website last night and got very excited by the "products" (i dont think i've ever heard him use that word before), i think the end of sainsburys shaving foam is in sight in our house!!

never again will he be allowed to complain at me for my l'occitane bubble bath addiction
