Uncles' Club: The Thread

Hello to all of the other uncles on here. I thought it would be good to make a thread for us to discuss the joys of being an uncle.

Has anyone been to a Wacky Warehouse? I gather it's half pub and half play zone, supervised I believe, so that the parents can have some rest and unwind. There is a great bar in Bridlington, an independent I believe, called Jerome's, Montezumas is the soft play name. I loved it there as a child, especially on the Indiana Freefall. I think it was fully supervised too, unlike many soft plays!

What programmes do you like watching with your nephews and nieces? Mine love The Baby Club and the girls love Bluey.

Do you find it embarrassing when strangers in public think you are the father? I love being an uncle but I find the confusion difficult, especially as I am a homosexual.

Do you think that Andy's Man Club should offer more support towards single fathers? The are Council-specific social grants out there that may help with ECHPs etc.

Great to see you all.

Regards
