Dad's need quick bit of help regarding star locks?.............

The mum's cant seen to help me so im helping someone here can. My maclaren buggy wheel needs replacing, shop where brought are going to charge me £48, im not going to pay that but ebay have wheels and star locks for £15. Does anyone know how to get star locks off and put new ones on? Please someone help me as don't want to pay £48! Thank you.

Squeeze the old one with pliers to deform it. It can then be pulled off. Really tricky ones need a hacksaw!! To put the new one on- position it over the axle and using a socket that fits round the outer edge tap it onto the axle with a small hammer. You need to be careful as they can be a sod if they go on skewed!
