Black tie wedding in Portugal in September

Guys, I'm going to a 'black tie' wedding in Portugal in September. It's going to be hot (in the 80s), and I get hot and sweaty very easily.
What can I wear that'll keep me as comfortable as possible heat wise, while still adhering to the black tie theme?
No real price limit, but I'm a tight b***d and would like to keep the cost down as low as possible (especially as I'm only likely to wear the outfit once)! 😁
Bloody destination weddings, they should be banned!

Skip the cummerbund, get as thin a shirt as you can find, and take off your jacket at every opportunity.

I'm afraid not. Luckily for me it's been years since I've had to buy a dinner jacket and when I did it was quite heavy wool from a specialist men's suit shop. It wasn't cheap.

Do you have a big M&S near you? I'd probably start there if I were you. Or if this is going to be a one-off and you want to keep the costs down it might be worth trying Moss Bros to see if there's a rental option. I once had need of hiring a kilt, highland jacket and all the accessories from Moss Bros and the service was very good.
