Child Maintenance Payments

Hi everyone, i’m just asking for help with something on behalf of my ex partner.

We split up months ago and we have came up with an agreement with how much he pays me for our two kids per month, per child.

He has another child with someone else previous to me who he goes through CSA for.

He has added our private arrangement on his CSA, but will this change the amount he pays his previous ex? as i haven’t gone through CSA it’s been arranged between me and him? Don’t really want her kicking up a storm to be honest…

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

As I understand it, yes, his payment for his other child will likely go down as CMS is worked out on income and how many you're paying for. So even though you're not going through CMS, if he has reported it to them, it is likely that the other payment will be recalculated as he now has three children on the calculation, not two.

Yes, his payment to his other child's parent will be reduced.

Total child maintenance amounts are calculated on a certain percentage of his income.
