hi

i have been doing a bit of painting for my other half at one of his properties, i have been using his purdy brushes and did exactly what he said to do with them after i had finished painting.

he has just stormed in and both brushes have gone rock solid, one has gloss on the other has primer on.

can i bring them back?!! he has just stormed off saying thats 20 quids worth of brushes down the pan

thanks

Did you wash them out? In white spirit?

i was painting up there a few days in a row so i just tied carrier bags around them to stop the air drying them out (which is what he told me to do) but i have not been up there for 5 days. the plumber has been up there and looking for a paint brush so i think he has undone the carriers and left them out to dry

good tip - if you're painting and need a lengthy break, wrap the bristle end tightly in cling film. Will keep brushes nice and re-useable for days and days.
