to find the tirade of abuse I got for posting in the AIBU section of mumsnet the thread "AIBU to expect my penis to be longer than it is" unreasonable?

OK, maybe I should have posted it in Dadsnet, but considering

  1. the amount of mums who post on dadsnet

and

  1. the threads that the mums post on their "fanjos" and length of pubic hair etc.

that I find being called a troll, pervert, schoolboyish humour, offensive a tad sexist.

Is it just me?

No.
You are being an arse.

Saturn74 · 19/05/2008 16:47

Yes, it is just you.

mybrainaches · 19/05/2008 16:49

I think the difference is the female Mnetters mainly ask fellow female MNetters about thier fangos as it were, where you assumingly a man were asking woman, iyswim.

cornsilk · 19/05/2008 16:51

shudder

shortandthickdoesthetrick · 19/05/2008 17:03

yes mybrainaches i get that, but the fact that mums come on this and ask dads about their pubic hair etc. to my mind isn't any different.

it was just a light-hearted thread after all.

Think you may have a point, although don't understand why you didn't post your original question on dadsnet in the first place.

Also think you should treat some of the answers you find here with same light-hearted humour with which you originally posted; they're probably just trying to wind you up!

SmugColditz · 19/05/2008 17:30

Ahhh the old double standard ....

Women talking about their genitalia on the internet are being concerned, healthwise, or at worst, liberated. You are being a pervert.

Even if you are terrified you have prostate cancer, even if you think your girlfriend may have given you a VD, even if you cry yourself to sleep every night because you think your penis isn't normal .... you will get called a pervert.

So no, actually I do not think you are being unreasonable.

youknownothingofthecrunch · 19/05/2008 17:40

G'is a link.

Nope, you're probably not being unreasonable.

But could you please take your fanjo out of those unnecessary and possibly unhygenic inverted commas; it looks all unkempt.

cornsilk · 19/05/2008 18:40

I didn't read your other thread but I really don't like your posting name.

lucyellensmum · 19/05/2008 19:34

you find being called a troll, schoolboyish humour offensive and sexist???

But you openly admitted to having a tiny cock!!!!!!!!!! One would get the impression that you are not exactly sensitive.

Besides, size isn't everything!!!!

shortandthickdoesthetrick · 19/05/2008 20:13

I didn't say it was small, i only asked if it was unreasonable to want to have it longer

Anyway that's more the type of feisty response i was expecting originally, thanks

btw smugcolditz - bang on and well said!!

I seem to get 10 ads a day telling me how I could extend mine (if I had one).

Kevlarhead · 19/05/2008 20:23

"to find the tirade of abuse I got for posting in the AIBU section of mumsnet the thread "AIBU to expect my penis to be longer than it is" unreasonable?"

There's a time and a place for that kind of question...

shortandthickdoesthetrick · 19/05/2008 20:25

and that is....

Oh yawner. Are you a teenager? You are just attention-seeking in the most obvious way you could think of.

Don't fall for it, everybody!!!

Pan · 20/05/2008 21:59

shorty - are you a regular poster or 'just in for the weekend?'

Tess321 · 31/05/2008 13:24

There is a difference between posting a thread along the lines of concern about prostrate cancer/lumps on penis/premature ejac and posting a thread about penis length.

The former appears to be a request for advice/support the latter would be read by most women as being written by some immature fella who is getting off on the responses. Which when posted in a support forum for women seems like a very unpleasant intrusion

Tess321 · 31/05/2008 13:26

Can I also point out that your nickname kind of lends weight to what I have just posted.

I have told you before, I don't care what the rhyme says, it should be shortandthickanddoesthetrick

Two ands don't make a right .

EricL · 31/05/2008 22:19

Oh dear God.

Look at the state of Dadsnet now.

It'll never do.

I'd just like to point out to the ladies reading that the rest of us menfolk on here have absolutely massive cocks and are more than happy with their girth also.

Just to clarify that.

Thanks.

LuckyStrike · 31/05/2008 22:39
