Has anyone been to family court for child arrangement order as a litigant in person? Was it hard? Dad can't afford solicitor but I'm worried he'll struggle putting forward his case to see child. Mum refuses to let him see her and wont communicate with him . He had EOW for 8 years and it was v successful but mum jealous of time D spends with dad. Has turned D against dad. Child 9

What country is dad in? The process will vary a little... If Wales I can help explain a bit more. The judge will be understanding and help any litigants in person understand and manage the process. It's very important to listen to what the court requests in terms of statements etc and not just use as an opportunity to write any grievances. Are there any allegations likely to be made against dad? Any previous social services involvement?

Thank you. He's in England. No allegations against Dad
SS involved with Mum on a few occassions . Child has had a social worker and help up until recently.Involvement when child was a baby after mums suicide attempts and later on when she was struggling. Mum might make allegations as she's unpredictable but there would be no substance to them - would be v vague.
