Hi,

I have a directions hearing coming up, and wondered if anyone here has previously represented themselves at court to regain contact with their child?

if so, was it scary? Or was it quite calm?
did you have to prepare anything prior to the initial hearing?
what can i expect?
what sort of dress code?
what do I call the person leading the court room?

many thanks in advance, I look forward to reading your responses

If you are serious about regaining your contact and are not able to afford a solicitor, go to familiesneedfathers website and attend your local branch meeting for free. These are run by the professionals and fathers who have been through hell like you are going through most probably. You will find all sorts of free advice there. Been there done that, have contact for years now.

Hang in there, the system wants to have fathers in contact with their children because the cost of fatherless children tends to be huge for the state.
