Who has the more knackering day - dads or mums?

I am a stay at home Dad in southern Germany. I look after a four year old girl and a two year old boy. This week my wife went away on a two day work trip and I had to put the kids to bed alone while she was away. I couldnt sleep and was tidying the house and cleaning the kitchen at 2am. By day two I had a bad stomach and was lying down on the couch not well. Tiredness and a tummy bug had done their job. Day one also the weather was crap and I couldnt go out into my beloved garden which is a frozen tundra right now. An American female friend of mine has just become pregnant with her 3rd child - she has the same as me - girl and boy in similar ages. She was telling me how the morning sickness had hit her this time. This week I felt a huge empathy for her situation and my tummy is now better - hey how the hell do women have say four or five or even ten kids?

Now its friday and I am having the usual competition with the wife how tired we are. So how does one objectively figure this one out? Who is more tired, the one in the office or the one wiping arses all day?

youre both tired as each other open a bottle of wine -drink it- snug up in bed and sleep ......

You cannot objectively figure this, both can be hell. Be nice to each other. It's a partnership not a competetion. You're supposed to be equal. Drink wine, empathise, sleep well.

Would love to drink wine with her but my wife went off alcohol when preg with first.

Should have married a Saudi woman - I lived there long enough (5 years)!
