Hi all, is ok to rent a property that's more than the local housing allowance? I understand that I would have to make up the difference.

Thanks

Yes, if the landlord is happy to take you and yo u can afford to pay it its fine. Lots of landlords have rents set up above the lha.

My LHA is £1280 but i'll only receive £900 ( I hope) because of deductions. I think my rent will be £1400 approx
