Snotty nose and cough for 5 weeks

Hi everyone,

Our 1 yr old has had a really snotty nose (yelllow mucus) for around 5 weeks now and it is causing her to cough during the night and a lot in the morning where I can only assume the mucus us building up. Its also making bottle feeding a little difficult as she has to keep stopping for air due to bunged up nose.

We have ruled out COVID via a PCR test. She is not unwell in herself and no temperature just this continual mucus issue.

Is this just the 'norm' as toddlers battle new germs etc or should we consult the GP (don't want to waste anyones time)

Little ones immune systems haven’t developed in the same way they would have pre covid/lockdown/isolation times. It’s worth consulting your dr, they may have some suggestions for you to try x
