JackieNo · 30/12/2007 17:48

He's been around. I've seen him on the Dr Who thread, and the Robin Hood one.

Ilovenutella · 30/12/2007 17:50

Maybe he is busy watching Harry Potter as I think he has a thing for Emma Watson - or he is lamenting the end of spooks and the blonde one in it......

Daddster · 30/12/2007 17:50

Oh. Maybe he's just spurning us on Dadsnet - maybe not interesting enough for him.

Pan · 30/12/2007 17:51

Nope - he started this thread yesterday

Allegedly.

Pan · 30/12/2007 17:52

southeastastra · 30/12/2007 17:55

MrsSimpleSoups · 30/12/2007 18:05

Who gave an oboe to Kylie?

PrismManchip · 30/12/2007 18:06

I should think he went to church, then stayed on for bible study, and is now watching Songs of Praise.

southeastastra · 30/12/2007 18:07

Oy, oy, oy, what's all this slander? I'm back. In fact, I never went away.

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 23:33

Maybe he's still recovering from the utter shock that was Guy of Gisbourne murdering Maid Marian.

I'm still rather stunned myself.

Heathcliffscathy · 04/01/2008 23:34

is maid marian dead????????

thunk

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 23:36

Oh, soph, it was awful!

She got in the way of Guy's murdering the king.

And she boasted to him about being engaged to Robin and then he stabbed her!

She was pinioned by the sword and Robin finished marrying her as she lay there - although why didn't the king officiate? He was standing there and could have done.

Then she pulled the sword out and died!

I was sobbing like a kid with a scrapped knee.

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 23:38

Although, is the marriage valid, seeing as that even though there were two witnesses, one being the king, there was no consummation?

MegaLegs · 04/01/2008 23:40

Oh I cried too, DS1 was sitting on my knee at time and I sobbed into his neck - what a shocker.

wessexgirl · 04/01/2008 23:40

Yeah, well, Guy and Marian's marriage was valid in the first place, seeing as the only thing you had to do to get married in them days was to give consent to the union.

So she was really Mrs Gisborne all along.

UnquietDad · 04/01/2008 23:41

The only way to bring her back is as Zombie Marion.

Heathcliffscathy · 04/01/2008 23:41

this is bbc early saturday night! they are NOT SUPPOSED TO OFF LEAD GOODIE CHARACTERS FFS

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 23:43

she didn't consent, though, did she?

i thought you had to do a la Kathryn Howard and Francis Dereham - call each other husband and wife in front of many, he gave her money to look after whilst he was away, and have intercourse in bed together?

what constituted an irregular marriage then?

that was in the days when a nobleman could handfast his daughter to her groom and they would sleep in bed together and ask questions later.

MegaLegs · 04/01/2008 23:44

Did Guy and Marion shag then? I did miss a couple of episodes.

expatinscotland · 04/01/2008 23:44

i'm still reeling, soph!

my dad was laughing because all night i was saying, 'they topped Marian! you can't top Marian!'

and then Guy rode off with the Sheriff.

and the king didn't even so much as give Robin an earldom.

what a git!

EricScrooge · 07/01/2008 12:45

I've not seen this program.

So someone marries a girl who has a sword through her?

Kind of marrying under duress do you not think?

Anyway - i haven't been around much either over the festive season.

Nice that everyone has noticed.

DaDaDa · 07/01/2008 23:54

Who said that?

DaDaDa · 07/01/2008 23:55

pssssst, Eric, your Christmas name is still showing
