Just one wee thing - that's all.

Cheer us blokes up and give us hope and restore a bit of balance on here.

He showed me (patiently) how to use the snowblower so I can get out if we have another big snowfall while he's away on business.

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 13/12/2007 08:59

Oh - I can not leave it at one

he brings me tea every morning in bed
He is my rock
he is my best friend
we have two wonderful sons whom he adores
he baths the boys bearly everynight
he sings daft songs to them and me
he loves me
he puts up with my pap driving
he laughs at my jokes
he can make me laugh in the middle of a fight
He can add up in his head
he does his share and more
he is fab and I love him

SpawnChorus · 13/12/2007 09:07

He can get a laugh out of me even when I'm furious....which can be quite annoying when I'm on a sulkathon

OhLittleTownOfBotlehem · 13/12/2007 09:09

He tried very hard to help with MMJ's jammed video camera last night.

IsawSusiekissingSantaClaus · 13/12/2007 09:15

He has looked after me like a true knight in shining armour through a difficult first pregnancy.
He gives me compliments when I feel awful.
He shopped and cooked for six months even though he hates it.
He is moody and opinionated and falls asleep in front of the rugby at the weekend on a regular basis.

Sorry. I'm gushing. I adore him.

Oh. And he remebers things. I have a terrible memory.

merryberry · 13/12/2007 09:21

phwoar he looks good in a suit and he laughs at my 'jokes'

wot about people who don't have ownership of one?

Saturn74 · 13/12/2007 09:25

He has a fantastic arse!
All the rest is just icing on the cake.

WeAllWantSomeFluffyPudding · 13/12/2007 09:28

He's totally wonderful and I'm very very very lucky indeed !!!

Lizzer · 13/12/2007 09:41

He plucked an ingrown hair out of my lady garden last night cos I'm 9 months pg and can't see down there

(Also, the doing up a house in 12 weeks, loving dd as if she were his own, never answering back if i'm stropping out and basically doing anything I ask of him is pretty good too )

DanaScully · 13/12/2007 10:09

PMSL Lizzer! That's classic! What a man!

mistletoepeaks · 13/12/2007 10:31

He has lovely strong arms which he wraps round me when I come home from work at 3am and warms me up. Sometimes he'll move from his side of the bed at 2.30ish to warm it up for my arrival.
He works damned hard to give me and his beloved dd's the best he can.
He was brill at both births.
He's no Gordon Ramsay (thank god) but he makes a mean chilli and the best bacon buttie.
He runs me candlelit baths but forgets to put the hot water on and can only find one tealight candle - so it's pitch black and freezing cold!!!
He stands in puddles to help me over them.
He still kisses me like he really means it and gives me butterflies in my tummy.
He does 'cute face' when he knows he's in trouble.
He's mine and I love him dearly.
All of these and more are written in a little notebook I gave him for his 1st birthday with me and he keeps it in his bedside cabinet and I add to it when he does something that makes me think - this is why I love you. He takes it out every so often and has a read (and a tear!!)

phdlifeneedsanewlife · 13/12/2007 10:36

omg, I was just about to start a "my dh is so fantastic" thread!

I've been ill this week.

He's held my head while I was sick, brought me lemonade, made me toast (which I then left as too sick - and he didn't complain), minded baby. Came home from work early to take ds out so I could sleep. Made me chicken soup from scratch.

Yay for my dh!

SquonkaClaus · 13/12/2007 10:40

When I think he's being stroppy and in an awful mood, it turns out that it's because he's missing me because we've been too busy to chat together.

He gives good cuddles

He is a fantastic father

I'll come back to this... I can hear small children drawing on walls...

CharleeSawMummyKissingSanta · 13/12/2007 10:44

MY dp is the most dependable, honest, trustworthy, loving boyfiend and father in the world and it doesn't hurt that he looks like Justin Timberlake either.

HolidaysQueen · 13/12/2007 10:45

He just remains calm and sweet and gives me cuddles and makes me cups of tea when I wake up at 5am, 25 weeks pregnant, wailing that there is something wrong with our baby because he won't move when I prod my tummy...

That's why I love him today, particularly so because he has already worked 40 hours in 3 days this week and still didn't moan at his early wake up call...

[Baby was of course absolutely fine by the way]

Kathyate6mincepies · 13/12/2007 10:46

Last week when I was upset he bought me the River Cottage Fish Book even though he hates fish

bethoo · 13/12/2007 10:46

good in bed (and that is about it at the mo!)

SquonkaClaus · 13/12/2007 10:59

when he gets a text message at work saying "you'll have to decorate as soon as you come home because the little buggers angels have written all over EVERY wall" he replies "ok" and when he gets another one half an hour later saying "it's ok, most of it's come off with toothpaste" he replies "ok"

bethoo · 13/12/2007 11:15

omg just read some of these posts and made me think what am i doing with my dp!! he does nothing like that! how depressing!

Kathyate6mincepies · 13/12/2007 11:15

You use toothpaste to get writing off walls?

JingleJulezbooBells · 13/12/2007 11:20

He tells me I'm beautiful every morning.
He's funny
He's clever
He works hard
He's handsome in my eyes even if he thinks hes not.
Great daddy
Great Partner

WaynettALotOfMincePies · 13/12/2007 11:20

He completes me (boak!) He is a wonderful and loving father, pulls his weight around the house and with the kids, is funny, intelligent and is the best kisser on the planet (and I should know )

Astrophe · 13/12/2007 11:23

he works really hard for us, even when he is not liking his job. I have friends whose DHs refuse to work (either outside, or inside the home) and so I really appreciate DH for being hard working.

He is also silly and funny - we have lots of lame 'in jokes', which I love

Astrophe · 13/12/2007 11:27

oh, and he does bath time and bed time every night (while I sort out washing etc downstairs). And he puts the bins out. And does the bill paying, and keeps the cars in order, and unloads the dishwasher in the mornings...heavens, what do I do???
