Not good for Wales and NI cos they have Italy and Germany to contend with, but could have been worse for Scotland and England i guess.

Looks like an easy group for England - bet they beat Belarus and Andorra and have everyone saying their woes are over, they're going to win, etc...

then muck it up by drawing 0-0 with Kazakhstan and losing to Ukraine, and desperately needing to beat Croatia.

Or something like that.

EricL · 26/11/2007 18:28

Yeah - you're probably right.

In fact - with insight like that have you thought of applying for the job? It is vacant and i doubt you could do worse...........

Hmmm... I'm guessing Scotland will go out against FYR Macedonia. If you've never heard of them, we'll probably lose to them...

UnquietDad · 26/11/2007 20:11

My daughter could manage the team.

wrinklytum · 26/11/2007 20:27

Hopefully England will get through, though given recent form maybe a emoticon is in order.

Looking forward to England v Kazakhstan (Will Bhorat sing their National Anthem do you think?)

I will apply to FA for managers job.As a seasoned Forest fan during Cloughie era I think I will call myself Brian, wear a green sweatshirt, affect a north-eastern accent, down a few bottles of voddy, then make a fantabulous team selection of virtual unknowns(all with smart haircuts, mind, young man, none of these namby pamby long haired types,oh no).There.A surefire winner.

"My daughter could manage the team."

I'll hold the brolly then.

What a team.

I'll get DS on coaching duties too. He may be only 4 but he wins a decent knockdown.

My DD is surprisingly good at footie actually. She goes to a football academy thing.

I think the girls game will get stronger and get more coverage in the future.

(I meant that in the way that she is normally a total 'pink and princess' type of girl - but then will go out and kick the boys shins)

Mine did the footie academy thing at Center Parcs - very good coach, excellently-structured sessions - but she was only 5 at the time and when it came to the mini-game at the end she just joined the pack haring after the ball! Only one child, a boy, had any concept of hanging back in defence.

CripleH · 27/11/2007 14:14

I'm hopeful for Scotland, I reckon we could get a result against Holland at home, if we can do France then I reckon Norway have more to fear from us and the rest we should be able to take (on paper).

We might do that.

England should get through easy, at least you won't underestimate Croatia this time around.
