Need dads advice

To the single parents out there, I recently got married and my husband and I are having a hard time finding balance. He wants a 50/50 relationship and I tell him that is hard for me to provide that because I am the sole provider of my kid. I would like him to step up as a parent but he feels that's unfair. What yall think?

Why an earth did you marry him? Why didn't you talk about parenting before hand.

I'm confused by what you mean by a 50:50 relationship?
I take it to mean all household things including caring for the kids ( be them biological or stepchildren) is equal. This is what we do and it works. I'm assuming this isnt what you mean
