I'd really like to know how you feel during the day when mum is at work and you are all alone in mumland? is it ok? do you have fun?

I am. Can be difficult. I hate all the parent politics stuff on the estate - i try to keep out of it as much as poss, but i still find myself in conversations that revolve around what other parents or kids are up to. I have to make excuses and leave. I find that i am not made to be part of that social group anyway - they are all in and out of each others houses though - so maybe that is a good thing. It's nice to keep a part of yourself private i think.

Having the three year old and her wee pals in and out can get a bit draining and distracting - but she is off to full-time nursery shortly so it is a necessary thing at this age i guess.

I do as much as i can with her - taking her out and going to the gym creche/play areas/etc.. I wouldn't change it for the world but it does get a bit much sometimes - especially at this time of year.

I set aside lots of 'me moments' in the evenings and weekends and the missus is very supportive of it as she is more than happy to know i am at home doing all the kiddie and housework stuff. It means she can concentrate on her careere and not be distracted woth childcare and running the house. We have all weekend together doing fun things too which is a real bonus, instead of how it used to be with her by herself and having housework to do.
