Anyone know much about Vodafone 3G?

I brought a new device today which should connect to the Vodafone 3G network... but it can't find a signal. Vodafone's coverage map indicated that it should work, the instore computer map said it should work... but I can't get it to find a 3G signal at all, at my home, driving around my village, or driving around a neighbouring village.

Any ideas... does the 3G network work? Anyone else have trouble accessing 3G services?

Ring vodafone they will tell you what their service is like in your area, then if need be return your phone asap. IMHO 3G is useless where I live.

I had trouble with mine and it was down to configuration - they sent me a text message which I opened and it set everything up for me. Dial 121 from your handset and ask them about the set-up.
