Something in another thread on here spurred me to start this one. Ok, so I admit it, I used to wear Brut 33 when I was about 14. I thought it was sophisticated. Of course, I graduated to Kouros, which used to make DW go weak at the knees. I'm going to secretly buy some and see if she still does. Now I wear (more subtly and not all the time) Blue by Hugo Boss.
Anyone else? What are the female faves?

Issey Miyake for me! Weak at the knees just thinking about it!

PersonalClown · 06/06/2007 19:19

Deep blue by Hugo is yummy! Good choice.
Eternity for men by Calvin Klein is another good one, quite musky but not overpowering.
Nice and subtle is always a winner.

bewilderbeast · 06/06/2007 19:20

obsession and obsession night
ralph lauren safari (guaranteed to get dp a big kiss if he wears it)

MaureenMLove · 06/06/2007 19:21

Not quite as expensive and trendy as all the rest, but I love all the Next aftershaves! I walked passed someone today, who was wearing Paco Raban too - it took me right back! [swoon]

DrDaddy · 06/06/2007 19:40

Oh, I forgot to add Old Spice into my past of shameful aftershaves....
And what was that one that used to be advertised with a bloke's hearbeat steadily increasing as a woman crossed the room and then proceeded to un-button his shirt with highly polished red nails? How about that for old-school advertising. Mind you, it turned me on at the time!!

swalesie · 17/06/2007 18:44

I love clinque happy for men, think its a really freah sexy fragrance.

unknownrebelbang · 17/06/2007 18:59

Another vote for Paco Raban for my DH.

Have to say I love Old Spice, but only cos it reminds me of my dad, lol.

lulumama · 17/06/2007 19:02

dolce and gabbana for DH or gucci

Carmenere · 17/06/2007 19:05

Equipage by Hermes is divine, but only available in Harrods

WigWamBam · 17/06/2007 19:16

Would it be horribly embarrassing to admit that Kouros still makes me go weak at the knees ... I'd follow anyone home who wafted Kouros in my direction

I also like Deep Blue by Hugo, and Ghost Man.

lou33 · 17/06/2007 19:22

romeo gigli and jean paul gaultier

oggsfrog · 17/06/2007 19:32

I used to buy dh one with "Red" in the name.

Anyone any idea what it could have been?

DrDaddy · 18/06/2007 18:50

Didn't realise this thread was still going.
WigWam - interesting. I checked with DW and she said she still loves the smell of Kouros. I'm not sure I could bring myself to wear it though....

Fahrenheit or eternity are both lovely choices.

Oggsfrog probably deep red

Actually mumsnet men, so long as you don't smell of wee, sweat or hai karate women don't care all that much

nomdeplume · 18/06/2007 18:59

fahrenheit is a bit of a no no imo. A bit 80's

NoodleStroodle · 18/06/2007 19:01

Issy here too.
It's what lovers should smell of.

nomdeplume · 18/06/2007 19:02

dh smells great in

acqua di gio
Dior Higher
a cheapo Lanvin one called Vetyver (i think)that I got for a song on a perfume website.

I like citrussy ones. He likes Eternity too but I'm not so keen

duchesse · 19/06/2007 17:14

The smell of aftershave personally makes me feel sick- it's always overpoweringly strong. Just a foible.

cardy · 19/06/2007 17:19

My DH wears Issey Mikaye. I think smell is very evocotive....Whenever I smell Issey Mikaye it makes me think of DH in quite a passionate way.

Cappuccino · 19/06/2007 17:20

bollocks to my dh and his stupid sensitive nose and his freaking asthma

bollocks to him

seamonstr · 20/06/2007 11:12

Huh... I've never even worn smellies around the seamonstress. I should prolly give it a go - might get lucky!

LynetteScavo · 20/06/2007 11:16

Fahrenheit certainly did it for me in the late 80's!!!!

harleyd · 20/06/2007 11:18

jean paul gaultier
