Advice on mobile phone games/chat

Hi. I wonder if any of you know anything about how much it costs to play games on yoru mobile? I have another thread in the relationships section 'something's not quite right' or something like that, about my other half's late night usage of his mobile. He swears he's just playing games on his phone, but he's topping it up every night, by £10 - £20 a time, often in the early hours. Now even if he's downloading games it wouldn't cost that would it? I do know he belongs to a chat room on his phone, and is a 'VIP member' (I saw the text confirming it). Also, what's a 'push' message?
(Before you feel bad about welching on a fellow man, don't. He's an abusive husband and father, and I am just gathering evidence so me and the kids can get out!)

Sounds a bit strange to me - basically, as far as I know you can play games online but its a pretty new thing and not something that I think would take up hours of your time! (just my opinion though). Mobile online chat is really expensive from what ive seen and that would explain why hes topping up so much (would cost even more on pay as you go). VIP membership sounds like something expensive if its a chat room. I dont use mobile chat sites but have seen the advertised on the mobile internet so im not 100% sure about how much they cost but do know theyre very expensive. A game that you buy and download to your mobile will cost £5 at the most so he must be downloading ALOT of games!

I think that "push messaging" is like spam on mobiles. If hes registered to a site he will get updates and ads on his mobile trying to get you to sign up to other things.

Hi Jacobsdad, thanks for your reply. I am on the same provider, and checked on my phone; games are, as you say, £5 each. But once they're downloaded you don't have to pay per minute or anything do you? (I don't know why I'm even asking this really, as all the evidence is there). One of the chat rooms charges £1.50 per text, whilst the others charge standard 'browser' rates. I reckon it's a couple of quid for half an hour, not sure though.
So next question...am I being unreasonable in objecting to my husband chatting in chat rooms every night, running up bills of £70 per week (at least), and being secretive about it? Would you accept it from your OH? he's really got my head all messed up.

Sorry I do not play games on the phone but did see your thread earlier. To me everything points towards his behaviour being suspicious. You should have taken his sim card and hidden it when you had the chance and see what his reaction would be.
Why would you play games on a phone when it would be better on TV or computer. His eyes will be shot soon! Perhaps if you know what network he belongs to then contact them and see what they say.

Onedaysoon, his behaviour is out of order, you know it but you are asking us for confirmation. He is totally being unreasonable.
Be confident in your self and trust your instinct. I do not see why you are mixed up about this as it is clear.

Hi. Yes, I guess I am asking for confirmation. if and when I bring it to his attention, or when it comes to light, he will try and say it's me being a hysterical female etc etc. He's highly manipulative and controlling and oh so good at mind games. I just need to get things absolutely clear in my mind.
His ex wife apparently used to control who he talked to etc, so now I'm not allowed to question anything as it brings him out in a rage, hence me having to be 'covert' in this.
You're right though, why play games on a tiny phone when there's a pc and a telly?
