Do you not find them sexy DrDaddy? [blinks innocently]

DrDaddy · 14/05/2007 14:11

They look like shoes you had to wear in the swimming pool to stop spreading verucas

You've been able to buy them for years at B&Q and Homebase. My MIL does her garden in them...

Don't worry your head over it DrD. It's a funny "womany" fad that will soon pass. Nothing for men to get themselves all concerned about

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/05/2007 15:25

I feel like the doctor here Are you a doctor?!!

cardy · 14/05/2007 15:26

I don't imagine any men like them.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 14/05/2007 15:29

they're rubbish for gardening - your toes get dirty through the holes.

DrDaddy · 14/05/2007 15:34

garden clogs
without holes. But the same really, aren't they? These ones are £30 cheaper too.

Shiny - Dr, yes. Medic, no.

Ah good. I have an aversion to speaking to medical doctors socially

MEN wear them over her (north america) and it's just wrong.

lou33 · 14/05/2007 19:07

yeh i am quite proud of that one

lou33 · 14/05/2007 19:08

i saw men wearing them in thailand this time

colinandcaitlinsmommy · 14/05/2007 19:09

Fortunately not here over here in N. America. I had to look up what they were. Although DH got a bunch of "off-brand" Crocs for women in his store, and unfortunately they are one of his hottest sellers.

swalesie · 10/09/2007 10:03

Croc of s%*t in my eyes.

UnquietDad · 10/09/2007 12:25

They are about as sexy as Uggs.

Which = not at all.

Its the same with any new fad - the kind of girls who start the fashion off manage to carry it off and look OK but then the great unwashed masses get hold of them a few months later and wear them with wholly inappropiate clothing.

Take the leggings craze as an example. When they were first in fashion (about 18 months ago) the laies who were wearing them at first looked rather fetching and i thought it was a nice way to show off some leg without actually showing them off (If you get my drift!). They would be matched nicely with a nice flowing, but fitted short dress.

Roll on a few months and every lumpy middle-aged woman is wandering around with them on and looking absolutely hideous and cringeworthy.

I even saw a 40 year-old yesterday wearing those stupid Ugg boots with a pair of black leggings on with a 'normal' shirt on top. Everyone was looking at her walking down the road stifling a giggle as she looked ridiculous.

UnquietDad · 10/09/2007 12:39

eric - jeans tucked into boots is another example.

aDad · 10/09/2007 12:40

Nope, nobody has ever looked any good in Crocs or Uggs

EricL · 10/09/2007 12:41

Sorry - i forgot to mention that the idea of brightly-coloured plastic shoes being worn by evryone is laughable.

Why do the girls always seem to want to wear the same stuff as everyone else?

If i met up with my mates and i found that one of them was wearing something the same as me i would be straight into the nearest shop to buy something different cos of the shame of it all.

Just reminds me of that Chav culture of everyone wearing the same coat or top because they cannot bother to think for themselves when they are shopping.
