A thread of two parts then. First, Heteropolitans are latest media invention. Apparently this new breed is epitomised by the likes of Jose Mourinho and the somewhat less hot David Cameron. They are familish and have a great work/life balance.
They're supposed to be less preening that Metrosexuals.

I've just got into trouble from a man here at work because I said David Beckham is 'preening'. I think he knows him or something. He was quite pissed off with me. I'm confused as I didn't think anyone, even Becks, would refute the description. As it happens I'm a big Beckham fan.

What do you think? Does he preen?

yup. he's very into his image and tbh, it's very offputting. i mean there's taking pride and there's taking the piss, you know?!!

but i guess when you are in the public eye you get a bit consumed by how you look and what people think of you....and how you look

Oh yes he brings a new meaning to preening. Hey that rhymes!Nothing wrong with a good preen though if you've got it.
