Change Bags

Hey Folks,

Has anybody found any good change bags, the only male specific ones I've found just tend to be basic satchels and not that interesting.

If you ooze masculinity like some men, you've nothing to fear from carrying around mummy's change bag :)

Of course the real dad thing to do is to pack as little as possible for littlu'n in a normal bag and pretend you both have fantastic survival skills.

We bought a 'man bag' from debenhams. Mantaray I think. Great bag! Loads of pockets, washable and we're still using it for an overnight/casual bag.

We got a polka dot oil cloth bag on ebay to use initially but when that bit the dust we moved to kids rucksacks - currently on a thomas the tank bag

Got a cool Marvel rucksac to use now rather than spotty Kath Kitson bag. Though didn't bother me as its obviously a change-bag and OMG a man changing a baby.

Dh and I always just used a small rucsack, but you can just buy any bag you like and put nappies etc in it - a ziplock bag deals fine with anything with potential to leak.

Our satchel type one worked well for me when the pushchair was in use as you could hang it off the handle bars, but as i'm now trying to get the 2 year old to walk longer distances I've ditched the chair and use a 30 litre day rucksack (Lowe Apline Orbit 30). Perfect for changing stuff, 2 coats, jumpers and picnic stuff if needed etc. With it being on both shoulders my hands are free to carry the little one as necessary. Daughter also has her own little tikes reins rucksack for her hat, gloves, toy etc. Works really well and we are loving our daddy walks.

We've got the biggest Eastpac messenger bag, been carrying our twins' stuff about in it for 3 years now and still in decent shape. It's washable which is a definite advantage over the fancy changing bag ones, and it has a number of back and front pockets so you can organise it a bit.
