We were with another couple and over lunch the other wife reminded her husband that he was having steak that evening, DW and me had been joking about it afterwards - do people actually do this in the UK?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No.

MephistophelesApprentice · 18/03/2015 11:28

Oh, yes. Though in my case, my girlfriend had the steak (I'm more a gammon kind of guy).

OddBoots · 18/03/2015 11:28

Each to their own in regard to their sex lives.

I know that very few people would feel the need to ask a whole forum about their sexual behaviour though, if that helps.

BreakingDad77 · 18/03/2015 11:33

Calm down odd boots,

People didn't have to answer specifically about themselves, I was just curious as to if this is another Americanism working its way over here, if that helps Cake

You mean valentines day isn't chocolates and cunnillingus day???

Damn...

TheCowThatLaughs · 18/03/2015 14:52

Do whatever you want but surely no need to allude to it over lunch with friends?

BreakingDad77 · 18/03/2015 15:12

They are a bit of a weird couple, he has been reluctant for ages to put her on the car insurance.

is that code for something?

iklboo · 18/03/2015 15:30

Is that a euphemism?

Koalafications · 18/03/2015 15:31

Steak and Blow job day was on March 14th.

OwlBeRightThere · 18/03/2015 15:34

I bought him steak on the date once as a joke, there doesn't have to be a special date for me to give him a BJ though! It was more for a laugh.

Rosieliveson · 18/03/2015 15:36

On the 14th, we were talking to my inlaws on Skype. They said it was steak for tea. I'm not sure they understood why DH and I were rolling around laughing Smile
I don't think it's very common here OP but I'm sure there are people who do partake Wink

IfNotNowThenWhen · 18/03/2015 15:42

I only know about this day from MN, not real life. It seems a bit sad that a blow job has to be scheduled annually but each to their own.

iklboo · 18/03/2015 15:54

What do vegetarians / vegans do? Can you have one without the other or don't they get the BJ either?

(Now singing ancient TV theme show tune to BJ & The Bear).

Thanks VOD. I was worried for my mate there. Wink

Skywalker7 · 29/03/2015 15:37

No need to have such a dirty mind. She may have innocently been reminding him that he was having steak that evening because he's counting calories or watching his red meat intake ;)

EquinoxEclipse · 29/03/2015 15:42

She certainly wasn't watching HER red meat intake.

Badoom tish Smile

RunningDaddy · 01/04/2015 21:48

I heard about this a few years ago. I didn't realise it was an Americanism.

UselessSwine · 27/05/2015 07:51

That's just a Saturday in our house.

AMcoffeeLover · 14/06/2015 20:35

In our house Valentines is for me, steak and b.j day is for him. It works well! We each get a day to be selfish and get what we like!
