Have you ever got into a fight?

Well, it is "Saturday Night"...

Just wondered if any of my fellow DHs here in the Men's Room had ever got into a spot of fisticuffs, whether by accident or design.

I'm just not a violent person - and I'm not convinced I could hold my own against someone bigger than me. In fact, I'm not convinced I could throw a proper punch without breaking my thumb! I have to say I've not got into any physical sparring since school, and even that was just a bit of pushing and shoving and not real sleeves-rolled-up and "outside, you craven cur" stuff.

There was a party when I was in my early 20s when I came close, but wasn't drunk enough (or, luckily, angry enough) - smug git who had been invited by a "friend of a friend" was going round winding people up and making snide comments, and took my compilation off the stereo and put his own Totally Shite Music on. Hands up - who'd have twatted him?? (He had girly hair, if that helps anyone to decide...)

But tbh, the only time I can imagine physically threatening another bloke these days would be if he got nasty towards DW and/or the children. And thankfully, I've not found myself in that position.

oooh great topic - pre children dh was in quite a few 'tustles'. At our age obviously it is quite vulgar to go around resolving grievances with your fists however at the time it was pretty normal to be honest and we have some very funny stories as a result - oh and just so I don;t get condemmed - no one was ever seriously hurt

Not since I was 18 and that was the first since primary school. I was drunk and decided to sort out my then girlfriend's ex, who'd been badmouthing us. Gave him a bit of a pasting and embarrassed myself.

Later everyone at the party said if i'd have taken it outside they'd have cheered me on, they were worried i'd smash all the furniture inside!

I'm lucky, I'm quite a big bloke and people don't seem to start on me. I seem to be the bloke who breaks fights up, when I'm drunk.
