VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/10/2006 23:17

Welcome...

Women often invade the Mens Room....you'll get used to it

UnquietDad · 13/10/2006 23:21

I am a dad! - so hello and welcome!
The natives are a bit mad, but friendly.

Don't mention 4x4s, fruit shoots, sausage rolls (for some odd reason), religion, lesbian threesomes or, er, ahem, the one thing nobody can mention.

Oh, and be prepared occasionally to have to defend to the odd stroppy one why you are even here. It happens.

UnquietDad · 13/10/2006 23:24

fair enough, VVV, we crash the "who would you fancy if you were gay" threads... to mention one among many...

SnowFrightBoooooo · 13/10/2006 23:24

What is it with the sausage roll thing anyway?? Very confoosed....

UnquietDad · 13/10/2006 23:28

don't ask me, I'm still quite new!

ps VVV, spotted ya, HAH! do i get a prize? so much for the cloak of invisibility.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 13/10/2006 23:34

LOL! I was trying to see the humour in apparently being ignored by being a little obtuse about it....

UD - i don't feel like you or any of the other male posters are hijacking tbh. Its a parents site, so why shouldnt you post wherever....

Mind you, you mightnt want to get too involved in threads about Mooncups

northerndad2006 · 13/10/2006 23:51

Still not sure what fruit shoots are.
Hi, AshtonLaMont.
Anyone seen any good spark plugs recently?

AshtonLaMont · 14/10/2006 00:50

cheers for the warm welcome! i'll be the geeky one at the back knowing nowt about cars n' stuff but recommending the dodgy eurohorror/trash fliks to folk who post 'whats a good film for a friday night?'

We used to buy dd a fruit shoot occasionally when wandering round the shops. But I've recently been informed by dp that they're evil and we're not to purchase them any more. Not sure why. I was under the impression they were juice and water. Not great for everyday consumption but ok every now and then. Still I tend to abide by these dietry dictats with little or no argument. It takes the focus away from my wine consumption!

UnquietDad · 24/10/2006 16:01

Are Fruit Shoot flavoured waters evil too?
I only ask because they were the only water available at the play-centre we went to the other day. So we had to get one...

clerkKent · 25/10/2006 13:06

"Robinsons Fruit Shoot certainly looks like it's full of healthy strawberry juice, but it only contains 10% juice.

The actual ingredients are: Water, Strawberry juice, Flavouring, Citric acid, Acidity Regulator (Trisodium citrate E331), Preservatives (Potasssium sorbate E202, Dimethyldicarbonate E242, Sodium Benzoate E211), Vitamins (C, Niacin, Pantothenic acid, B6, D, B12), Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K) Stabiliser (Xanthan gum), Colour (Anthocyanins E163)"

from www.foodcomm.org.uk/parentsjury/Food_label_fibs.htm

IO have been indoctrinated to believe aspartame is far worse than sugar, and preservatives and colour do not help.
