First things first, I'm not a bloke so I know I shouldn't really be here, but I need your expertise please.

We have a Navman 510 (and could tell you a funny story or two about the weird and mostly dangerous routes that it has taken us).

1st problem was a faulty memory card that I replaced with a mini mmc card and it worked fine for a few days. We were travelling the other day when the screen went blank, voice still instructing us but we couldn't see anything. Now it seems to be dead as a door nail, any advice please (it's out of its warrantee), thanks fellas!!!

I'm not a bloke either!!! but - is the battery switch on the back switched on - its like a little hole, and you use the pen-thing to slide it over. Also there is a reset hole on the top that I've used a couple of times when mine has gone all weirdy

dh says bin it and next time buy a tom tom...was is first response. Unfortunately nowhere can repair them unless it is the manufacturer themselves so might be worth getting in touch with navman.

lol - yes it's switched on, the screen is on now, but it's showing horizontal stripes in every colour under the sun!! I've pressed the reset buttons but it doesn't make any difference. Any more ideas? It cost a fortune and the warantee has run out!
