Rav 4 keeps Stalling!

My Rav keeps stalling and the garage tells me there is no problem. I have had the throttle cleaned but perhaps it should be reset. Please help guys. My vehicle knowledge isn't great.

Very difficult to diagnose over the internerd.
do you know anyone with a working knowledge of vehicles to take a look.
Does it stall when you take your foot off the throttle or when you pull away

both, and also when i was driving down the motorway on Monday it had a surge and i jolted forward as if shunted from behind.

I will ask my dad for you later. He is a fab mechanic.

I'm no expert by any stretch, but the fuel supply could be the problem - ie. fuel injection.

Stalling could be caused by an interruption to the fuel supply, and the surge by a sudden increase in the fuel supply - like pulling out a manual choke.

There's a simple reason for this.
