...England wicketkeeper?
Personally Jones has been living on borrowed time and I just hope that Read gets more than one chance (if he needs it).

Hmmm... so, Latipsoh, you're a cricket loving Chelsea fan, and talking about the current wicket keeping position - your secret is out... admit it, you're Alec Stewart in disguise!

Anyway apparently Read's been scoring some runs of late, but I'm still not convinced by him. Jones has had a poor batting spell recently but I think would have come good soon. Still, healthy competition never hurt.

Football IS the game though, but blue ain't the colour for me. I support the team whose left back is on his way to you. Silly boy that he is.

oh confused sorry it's WWWH who's the cricket fan... That's blown my Alec Stewart joke a bit.

WellaWellaWellaHuh · 04/08/2006 11:55

But nonetheless it was a good joke

It looks like the gooners will be down to one Englishman soon - and he can't get a kick in the first team.

You're not wrong! He's going to feature some time though, and after all the talk, I'm presuming he's going to be good. Another Henry? Would suit me fine.

But you're right, I didn't think we'd get as far as this where there are no English first team players. Wish we'd got sean wright-phillips before he went to chelsea, we wouldn't have stifled the boy's talent.
