I don't have a lot of money and am absolutely stumped as to what to get him. Help, Dads! :)

I'd say help ds to make something for him, even if it's just a card, or organize a surprise picnic in the woods where you can all spend some nice time together.

:)

Thanks Gin! He actually "casually" mentioned the other day that he'd love a picnic, so I think we'll do that. Going to have DS make a card for him the day of, otherwise he won't be able to keep it a secret. :)

I think DS will make him this as well :)

nice :)

I think the picnic is a really great thing to do together.

dd made me a card last year in the shape of a car, with six wheels ! it was the best thing to receive I think.

Have a lovely day.

I bought a hanging plastic wallet thing to put all DD's artwork in. I usually stash them in the kitchen drawer.

I think that 'Father's Day' pressie should just be that - a pressie that the dad can share or do something with their dc(s) - not just blokey-centred. If it was 'man day' that would be different.( I had mentioned this to dd's mum years ago but to no effect.)

Best to think of something that promotes the dad role rather than a male indulgence. Surely there's loads of stuff out there for that?

I'll go against the grain here and say get him something a bit ladsy. Last year DW arranged for some planks of wood to be delivered that I could makeshift into a treehouse for the garden. Magic.

When is fathers day? Blush

Please tell me its not this weekend!

June 17th here (in America)...I think it's the same there?

A treehouse would be fun!

I made some photo cufflinks for my husband with a picture of our 10 week old baby boy and nephews. He loved them!

Let me know if you'd like me to make some for you, they're £12.50 a pair. Here's a photo of them...
