After an enlightening conversation, I am after a male POV

If a man is married and has sex with his wife 4-5 times a month, how often do you think is "normal" for them to masturbate a week without their wife knowing?

I'm not a man, but would say it's going to depend on the man. Some would masturbate twice a day, others twice a week, others not at all.

Men carry on producing sperm all their lives, if they dont get sex on a regular basis, it has to be released at some time. I personally have a very good sex life (more than four times a week) I don't masturbate on that basis. Masturbating behind your wifes back, i dont see the point. Why doesn't he ask for sex or some playing?

As for 'normal', there is no answer as it depends on the individuals and the relationship.

I find it strange that you ask about the 'wife knowing' bit. Presumably most wives 'know' that their husbands masturbate but I have no interest in being aware of the details of when and where tbh.

I'm a 5 times-ish a week man, pretty much regardless of how much shagging is taking place. I'm also not shy about it so would happily keep a log if I knew it might be of interest. Little 5-bar gates on a whiteboard in the kitchen maybe.
