Hi Guys - sorry to butt in to dad's net but the garage are calling me back soon so needed a quick reply.
Basically, DHs car is idling at 4000rpm so the guy from garage round the corner came to pick it up to take in for check and fixing.
However, as he looked at speedo, he asked me if we had a new cam belt fitted recently and said that they need doing every [mileage I can't remember]. Alarm bells rang in my head thinking they were just trying to add that bit in to get me to agree to a new cam belt change as I'm sure I'd read that garages often tell woment that to get some more money.
Is this true?
