Anyone can register a team between races, though you cant collect points for races you've missed....

The next scoring race is today, but after that we don't go again until 17th March, s othere's plenty of time.

fwiw in the Strada Bianche I had van Aert, Piddock and Alaphillipe - so am placed 1003 out of 4,000 so far. But top of our leader board.

You can also change your team between races, so it's more like a football season manager thing.
