Help!! How do I attach the brake cables

Ds has a new 20 inch bmx bike

Dh can't work out how to attach the brake cables to the handlebars

Unsure whether places like Halfords will help as bought it in a Black Friday deal in Tesco

Unscrew 1 a bit. Pull end of 2 so cable is exposed (part 1 should have a slot in it) . Feed through case 3 and slot into 4. Retighten 1

Any idea how much we'd expect to pay a bike shop to do it if he can't?

As an experienced cyclist I always say that a bicycle should definitely have working brakes and steering-all other components are optional so if you don’t know what you’re doing take it to a bike shop who know what they’re doing, i.e not Halfords
