Lightweight vintage bikes

Can anyone recommend a lightweight, vintage style bike? I really like the Bobbin and the Pashley but they are all very heavy. I like the style with a basket but DH is adamant I wont be able to keep up on family bike rides and need something more practical.
Any suggestions? thanks in advance

I have a Giant Flourish FS2 - I’m not very fit at all but can manage to keep up on that. Bought it after hiring one at Rutland Water and was impressed with it.
