Using a trail gator... with a trike???

I want to get a trike for my son. He is not yet able to pedal, he is enormous and 5. He is extremely tall. He is autistic and really wants to be able to ride about but just gets on and cannot do it. I wanted one of these things which attach the trike to your bike he would love it!!!
However I only ever see bikes with them, never trikes. It will not be a kids little trike either it will be big.
I have seen the awesome theraplay trikes for kids with additional needs, with attachments to bikes and they are great but expensive!!

Does anyone know if it us even possible or not to use a trail gator with a trike?

He is 35kg or over and very tall about 125cm so it will not be a little kids trike

I think you can use the trail gator with a trike, but you might want to contact Charlottes Tandems and see if you can borrow something appropriate to his size and needs before spending money.

Steering trikes is really weird and offputting at first (we still hark back to the trike from hell I hired when trying to get back to cycling after acquiring a disability), and you might be better with a tandem if he can balance as you go along
