We have a Bakfiets cargo bike that I've been using for about 5 years now. It lives outdoors because we don't have a garage (and it's too big for the shed!), and it's now hit that time of year when it's covered in condensation in the mornings, and I know that soon it's going to start freezing the gears etc... Aside from constructing a covered storage area, does anyone have any suggestions for keeping bikes relatively dry outdoors? I tried a tarpaulin with eyes to attach it to the wall, which worked a bit to stop actual direct rainfall but if the weather is damp the bike would still get covered in condensation.
Is there any solution...?! The angle of the house means that there's no sunlight in the garden in the morning to dry it off so it's me and a towel every day... DD1 cycles herself and hers can fit in the shed, thank goodness.
