La Vuelta a Espana - The MN Pro-cycling Peloton rides again!

The third Grand Tour of the year, following the Giro d'Italia in spring and the Tour de France in summer. It's always a tough ride and this year's is a beast.

If you've seen pro-cycling on tv for instance, or witnessed local rides and been a bit curious about the hows and whys we have such a spectacle of endeavour, tactics, sacrifice, strops and often pointless 'break-a-ways' then be curious no more - the committed MN peloton members will ride with you and chat as we go. Some members will be distracted by so many fit young men with bulging thighs, but be kind to them.

Next up, a course outline, timings and general stuff about La Vuelta.

HQ, yes please move this peloton over to the shiney new home. Some riders will be all over the road and be bickering about neutral motorbikes, sticky bottles, and pot holes (v unfortunately) but with an offer of a post stage drink and rub down we will all be fine!

Not been around much due to work which has interfered with this years Vuelta. :( . So I'm just now watching the whole of stage 11, only 20 minutes in and its brutal already.
Good to see Brambilla in the top 10, now if only he can avoid getting thrown out again ...

Been away since Friday, got back to catch up and the freesat box has broken - nothing recorded . Hate watching on ITV player as I can't fast forward the adverts.

I realised yesterday that I haven't been annoyed by the spectators. Compared to the TdF, they've been very well behaved haven't they? I have seen far more barriers and where there aren't barriers, there are often police keeping the road unobstructed. Very good example Spain are setting here!

Msrisotto I thought exactly the same! On all the steep hills they actually had space to ride!!
