English tests online

I’ve been teaching English to a local woman. We’ve been working through an A2 level book and are nearing the end.

She needs a certificate for her work, proving she has reached this level.

I can make a certificate for her, but of course would like her to take a test to confirm her ability.

Is there anywhere I can get a test online? I’ve seen tests to check your level (for example British Council). But I’m hoping to find actual paper tests, that you can pass or fail.

I have no idea what level A2 is, but might English Functional Skills level 1 or 2 be suitable?

In Europe the most common certification is Cambridge English.

Maybe have a look at their sample test?
However, it might not be totally fair to just use it for her as a test, people sitting those exams are typically getting some preparation to understand the instructions and type of questions.

Edit: and Key is the name of the A2 test

Who is the certificate for? As in, what is its intended purpose?

Over a decade ago when I was an A2 student of English, my English school offered the Cambridge ESOL tests. Back then, I believe it was called KET or PET? Anyway, Cambridge offers a test starting from A2 up to C2 level. I remember really enjoying it.
