Was going to say the same as Morris.

Fatcaterpillar · 13/06/2024 09:13

My initial thought this was a new word for going on a cruise but never getting off in the port stops

I thought the same thing - it's like a cross between staycation and voyage.

I might be influenced into thinking of holidays by the mention of a cruise, but to me it sounds like when you travel somewhere for something (work, wedding, etc) then turn it into a holiday by staying longer than the event

Stone age?

@IdisagreeMrHochhauser you've got it.

This was the post 'A lot of pe haven't been raised right in this stayonage and also there's to many dirty people out there there's day and are lazy.'

I have not commented on typos and spelling because I don't know circumstances, it was more the mis-understood phrase that caught my eye.

I think some people don't read very much and write words and phrases out phonetically so I just thought about what it sounded like and it jumped out.

I learnt French at primary school - but only repeating what the teacher said - and realised once I got to secondary and started to actually see the words written down that I was saying something completely different.
