DS is learning Italian. We already love Montalbano. Does anyone have recommendations for any other shows that we can watch in Italian, with subtitles?

La Porta Rossa, my absolute favourite TV show. You can watch it on Channel 4 streaming under the title The Red Door. Also Non Mi Lasciare (Don't Leave Me) That one's set in Venice, La Porta Rossa is set in Trieste. Oh, also Inspector Ricciardi (stars Lino Guanciale, who has the lead role in La Porta Rossa) Set in Naples.

I found Ricciardi’s lugubrious yearning for his neighbour a bit tedious personally. I did like ‘Exterior Night’, also channel 4, about the kidnap of Aldo Moro. You might also consider flipping and watch English language stuff with Italian subtitles where available.

What about Netflix, there's tons of Italian stuff there which will have Italian subs and maybe some in English too. When I first moved to Italy and didn't speak the language at all, I used to watch a lot of TV and stuff like Fantozzi films which are very funny, I also recall watching La vita è bella.

Does he follow anyone Italiano on Social media? I follow quite a few English teachers who are there for teaching English to Italians, but I learn a lot of reverse translation Italian phrases from them too, especially from https://www.instagram.com/p/C4xqIADoc6-/
