Has anyone tried Babbel?

I'm looking to learn Spanish and I've seen Babbel advertised in a lot of places. I've had a look and being honest the live sessions at £45 a month are out of my budget but the learning via the app is more what I can afford (on maternity pay atm).

Is Babbel good or are there other apps out there that are more worthwhile?

I use Duolingo and really love it. The more I use it the more I love it, too. When I do five or 10 minutes a day I don't really get anything from it and the weeks when I do five or six hours in total I am absolutely in love with it. I write everything down and my friends who drop out don't tend to do that. They also do it late at night and I think that leads to people dropping out as well.

I use Babel (Duolingo just for repetition and vocabulary) without the live sessions. It has got a more practical "situation based" approach, plus extra grammar and vocabulary trainings. I like it, find it comfortable to use.
